Issue 084: The 12 Achievements of 2021

Last week, I talked with a client who mentioned he didn’t feel like he accomplished much during 2021. Sometimes, we get to the end of the year and forget about everything we achieved. Let’s face it, January 2021 is a distant memory. My client and I looked at what he accomplished in the fourth quarter. Most often, it’s because we don’t spend the time to reflect on our accomplishments. The discussion with my client initiated a fun reflection session over the weekend that I’ve coined “The 12 Achievements of 2021.”

Here’s how The 12 Achievements of 2021 works?

  • Start with January and finish with December. It’s okay; December is still a month in progress.

  • Reflect on what you had accomplished during each month. Your achievement can be something minor or major. For the significant accomplishments, what month did you complete it?

  • Write down the accomplishment in a journal, the notes app on your smart device, or a flip chart. Or do something fun with Canva. For example, create 12 squares (or some other element, such as a star) and write an achievement in each square.

  • Achievements can be personal or professional, big or small.

  • Go for 12 as a minimum. Hitting this goal will rev up your brain to think about more.

Share one or more accomplishments by responding to this email or post in the Facebook Bounce-Up Community. 😊
