“Sometimes you have to trust your gut and your instinct and improvise.”
    – Peter Stormare

First, thank you so very much for the overwhelming response to my Chronicles message. I appreciate each email and call. 😊

Sometimes, when life is challenging, it’s hard to shift from worry to opportunities. I get it. I realize when I ask myself questions, it pushes me from “worry mode” to “solution mode.” My favorite question is “What can I do right now with what I have?” It pushes me into “improvise mode” a key fundamental that helps me Bounce-Up™.

That’s what happened to my friend, custom jewelry designer Georgianna Koulianos, founder of Georgianna Koulianos Designs, Inc.

Like many people, Georgianna found her NYC business at a standstill. Walking her Malamute Husky in late March, she passed a food distributor she never noticed and snapped a photo.

She knew neighbors and relatives struggling to get groceries because she shopped for them. At home, she researched the distributor. Her discovery, the distributor sold to restaurants, spurred a telephone conversation with the owner. With restaurants limited to take-out only, the distributor had plenty of food with fewer sales. Georgianna found her next opportunity.

From the distributor’s bulk supply, Georgianna used her business know-how to create an order form and delivery system. Within 24 hours of her first round of text messages and social media posts, Georgianna’s food business kicked off with a dozen prepaid orders.

“If you told me a year ago, I’d be in the food business, I would’ve said, ‘no way.’”

Though Georgianna didn’t have food experience, she tweaked her jewelry business systems to fit the food opportunity. Georgianna improvised to Bounce-Up™.

  1. How can you shift your mindset from worry to solution?

  2. How can you quiet your mind so that you can be open to opportunities?

  3. What can you do right now with what you have?

Until next week, here’s to outpowering adversity, boosting resilience, and Bouncing-Up™!
